My GT winning list

Image
This past weekend I attended the Saffron Slam based in Saffron Walden in Essex, a two day GT ran by Elmo Miniatures. Once again Lewis put on a great event with beautiful looking tables and a great atmosphere. This won't be a full game report post, as I don't want to do paragraphs and paragraphs on games. This will instead be a run down on my list, how it worked and certain points in games. My list: Undivided Battalion Detachment  HQ: Fateskimmer: Warlord: Fractal Mind, Retinue of Horrors, Bolt of Change, Infernal Flames 145pts Tranceweaver: Hysterical Frenzy 70pts Troops: 10 Daemonettes 120pts  10 Daemonettes 120pts  10 Daemonettes 120pts  10 Daemonettes 120pts  10 Daemonettes 120pts  Elites: 5 Flamers 125pts  5 Flamers 125pts 5 Flamers 125pts  Khorne Patrol Detachment  HQ: Be'lakor: Pall of Despair, Shrouded Step  Troops: 10 Bloodletters 130pts  10 Bloodletters 130pts  10 Bloodletters 130pts  I've now played a three and t...

Chaos Daemon point changes

Image
So the Chaos Daemon codex has been out now for close to two months already, and I think it's fair to say we are in far better state than we were pre-release. The new codex is strong and while lacking as much flavour as it once had, I think the biggest issue it has is point costs. With GW compensating for our new untouchable Daemon save by slightly overcosting a few units. So today I just want to put foward my suggestions on some additional positive changes for when GW inevitably hike up the points of certain flamey Bois. Flamers: old-25pts new-35pts Let's start with the obvious one, Flamers are very cleary undercosted and while being the only unit who is, they definitely heavily prop up the majority of Daemon lists and now see themselves in alot of CSM, Tsons and Knight lists too. 3 wounds at T4 with a 3+ save vs range, and d6+3 auto hitting shots that are buffable multiple ways is just too good for 25pts per model. They don't need to be ripped to shreds with an overreactio...

Welcome!

I started the True Daemon Lord about a year ago now as a way to document my hobby and my progress in the competitive tournament scene. After taking a 6 month break from the hobby and getting straight back into events over the last few months, I've decided to really focus on my online presence and born is this blog through that. I will be post many types of posts here, from reviews and talking tactics about Chaos (especially Daemons!) to reviewing recent events I've been too and the lists I'm currently playing. So stay tuned as I progress on this journey!!
