Playing Mono Slaanesh competitively!

Today let's go over the tips and tricks of running a mono Slaanesh list competitively at events and how you can best serve the dark Prince!

The strengths of a pure Slaaneshi force is the shed load of attacks it puts out and the insane speed it moves at!
The strongest element being your super fast obsec that can speed across the board, wrap and tag units and hold up the objectives killing your opponents primary.

On the other hand, you're not the toughest army in the game, sporting alot of T3/4 with the usual 5+/4+ Daemon saves.
This can be slightly combated with the multiple ways to return models back to your daemonette squads aswell as modifiers to hit and Delightful Agonies.

Warpstorm

Lightning Speed

+1 to charge for 3 warpstorm points is pretty great! Makes those 8 or 9 inch charges abit more doable whole also making any charges from a warp locus that little bit more reliable.

Mesmerising Dance

Fight first for 4 points has huge game changing potential!!
Just having the ability to pop this could change your opponents entire thought process for an important charge phase, and can allow you to keep key units alive while also letting you potentially switch primary by getting multiple units on objectives and popping this in your opponents charge phase so they have to pick those fights even more carefully!

Dark Hallucinations

Pretty cheap at 2 points, play it at the start if your opponents turn. While any enemy units are within 12" of any of your units you can roll 2d6 anytime any of their units start to perform an action.
If the roll is greater than those units leadership, the action automatically fails and those units take d3 mortal wounds.
It's not bad, quite situational and niche but cheap aswell. You have the speed and leadership debuffs to make this work in the rare occasions you will use it.

Characters

So characters in a Slaanesh list are pretty important, with a combination of certain command phase abilities and pyshic powers being near crucial for your list!
While we don't see many Keepers unfortunately as they are just not that good, they can be fun in a mono list.
We will just be focusing on the most competitive options here though.

Infernal Enrapturess

Who doesn't love a Daemon lady who runs around with a big old Harp made using the back muscles of an unfortunate human.... Aside from being one of the coolest models in 40k, the enrapturess is instrumental to a mono slaanesh list. She is your cheapest Warp locus letting your units come in from manifestation within 6" of her and 6" of your opponent. She gives out the normal re-roll 1's to wound for core like any herald does aswell.

Probably the best part about her side from the Locus is she returns a destroyed model back to a squad in the command phase, or d3 models if the chosen unit is daemonettes! Meaning She can help you swing primary and in the command phase pretty nicely.
She also has a either 6 str5 ap-1 shots or 1 str9 ap-3 d3+3 damage shot and makes enemy psykers within 24" of her perils on any doubles.

Tranceweaver

The Tranceweaver is your cheap and cheerful herald, giving out a +1 ap in combat buff in the command phase, and being a psyker with access to one soulstain power.
Delightful Agonies for the 5+ feel no pain or Hysterical frenzy for +1 attack and exploding 6's to hit for models in a selected core unit are your go toos here.

Tormentbringer on chariot

So the Tormentbringer bringer is a tranceweaver, on a chariot...
You can choose to put her on a seeker chariot which Let's her roll 4 dice after charges causing 1 mortal for every 5+ and gives her 2 extra attacks for that phase.
She can also take a hellflayer for some lawnmower goodness, give her 4 malefic attacks which become 6 on the charge at str+2 ap-2 2 damage.
The best part about the Tormentbringer is her +1 to hit in Melee for a core unit command phase ability, really letting one unit of nettes or Fiends hit that little harder that turn.
Pair her upwith the slothful claws Relic to turn her 8 attacks (10 if she is on a seeker chariot on the charge) at str4 ap-2 2 damage to 3 damage!

Units

Daemonettes

So your bread and butter for any Slaanesh list is of course your daemonettes. You will be wanting anywhere for 60-90 of these girls, providing you with alot of obsec bodies that move 10" and put out 4 str4 ap-2 attacks each that can benefit from Hysterical Frenzy and get full re-rolls for 1cp while they have an icon.
I idea is quite simple with a carpet of nettes. You use them as a conveyor belt of fast obsec that just denies opponents primary while holding your own objectives and just throwing all the attacks at the enemy. Putting delightful Agonies on a unit of nettes in a dangerous position can really make your opponents life hell trying to remove them in shooting, which can allow your other units abit of breathing room.

Fiends

Fiends are absolutely insane! 14" move, beasts so they can move through walls, 4 attacks at str5 ap-2 damage 2 and then a malefic attack each at str5 ap-3 damage 3 for 30 points is insane value!
Not to mention they make any unit within engagement range of them -1 to hit, which is great if you tag a unit that wants to be hitting daemonettes!
Let's also talk about how a unit of 5 or 6 Fiends with +1 attack each and exploding 6's to hit with a 5+ shrug on a T4 body with 4 wounds is pretty terrifying for alot of things to deal with!
The -2 to psychic tests with 12" strat is also super handy for those armies relying on the psychic phase for major buffs or damage!

Chariots

Ok let's be real, chariots are just a huge meme, but are cheap enough that actually they are super useful!
65pts for a seeker chariot that is T5 with 7 wounds, -1 to hit at range with a 4+/4+ that has 8 (10 on the charge) str4 ap-2 and 4 malefic str4 ap-1 attacks with a 14" move is actually incredibly good value!
Great move blocking units and the ability to do roll 4 dice and do mortals on a 5+ is just a cool little ability.

Hellflayers for an extra 10 points swap out the extra attacks on the charge and mortals for an extra 4 (6 on the charge) malefic attacks at str6 ap-2 2 damage. For 75pts they are still good value and offer some decent punch.

Seekers

Seekers are strange, basicly a daemonette with a 16" move with an wound and point toughness and an innate +1 to charge which stacks great with the lightning Speed warpstorm ability for an extra +1 makes them able to get to wherever you need them.
The issue they have is they are cavalry meaning the can run through walls...

Though they are pretty great as a unit to drop down and smash into your opponents lines and just zooming across the board to grab objectives late game!

Stratagems

Rapturous Standard

Full re-rolls to hit for Daemonettes and seekers with an icon. Makes those certain combats alot more reliable, especially in combination with Hysterical Frenzy to fish for those extra hits on 6's.

Endless Dance

6" pile in and consolidation for Daemonettes and seekers. This is great to help tag, wrap and steal objectives!

Melodic Delirium

-2 to psychic tests for your opponent within 12" of a fiend unit. This is super handy in those Grey Knight, Daemons, Tsons and craftword match ups. Zoom your Fiends right into their face for that pressure and pop this.

Thirst for Souls

Full re-rolls to hit and wound vs aeldari for a Slaanesh Daemon unit. Only usable in those certain match ups, but a great strat to pull put when needed.

Impossible Elegance

When a Slaaneshi character is targetted in the fight phase, for the rest of the phase an unmodified hit rolls of 1-3 automatically fail. This is super handy to keep your characters alive.
Super good on Be'lakor in combination with his no re-rolls.

Razor-sharp Caress

Unmodified wound rolls of 6 are +1 ap for Daemonettes and seekers. Meh, this is ok but only really something you will use if you have an excess (pardon the pun) of CP.

Race through the Warp

One slaanesh vehicle (exluding soul grinder) can be removed in your command phase and placed into strategic reserves.
This can be super useful for late game, especially with +1 to charge.

Sample lists

Heidar Stefansson-Manchester Super Major

This list is beautiful to behold, just so much obsec that runs at high speed at you. This list puts out so many str4/5 attacks and covers the board in no time if you let it.
With the two Enrapturess' being two Warp locus, this gives the nettes and/or Fiends some good options to come down close and swamp the enemy.

Same premise as the list above, this drops a unit of nettes and downgrades a chariot to a tranceweaver and turns the seeker into a hellflayer in favour of a block of 10 Seekers.
